Not Much Going On

It was a good weekend over all. Shopped, worked out, watched the final episodes of Avatar, hung out, argued over the grammatical rules of Pig Latin.

No, really. We were that bored.

I also did see the Dark Knight and enjoyed it a great deal. I will post some thoughts on it tomorrow.

And possible more about Pig Latin.

Cheers,
-Jason

if you are *that* bored then make some more comics - please?

someone linked to you as their favorite comic over at xylia tales and i came over and enjoyed it - but i linked to Lint - an awesome fantasy comic which actually updates twice a week! now listen, i challenge you to update once a month - that's not too much, right? go for it!

I would love to make more comics, but I can only beat Leigh so much before he starts to cry.

We were updating twice a week, but we lost our colorist, so Leigh (the artist) is pencilling, coloring, and inking all on his. As he does have a job, he can't output more than one page a week right now.

Once we get a new colorist, we should be able to go back to twice a week.

You don't happen to be/know a colorist?

I will check out Lint and thanks for the mail :)

Hello spasticfreakshow! I’m glad you enjoy the comic. I’m also glad to hear you’re reading Xylia. It’s a great comic. I’ll have to check out Lint since you recommend it. As for your challenge of updating once a month, since we currently update once a week I think we can easily meet that, unless you’re asking us to slow down. :) As Jason pointed out we were updating twice a week for a long time, but we’ve slowed to once a week because of my work schedule. We hope to be able to go back to twice weekly sometime in the not too distant future.

Watched Dark Night a few hours ago. It was pretty good. Entertaining at least. Though it left me with a thought, one that goes against my childhood desire to grow up and become a superhero, that mankind is not worth protecting. I know mob mentality. And those people would have killed the prisoners inside of 15 minutes. Survival instincts are very strong, and very VERY few people are good, brave, and true enough to give up their lives for someone they don't want to know. That big black convict who threw the switch out the window was the kind of man I wish mankind was like. If mankind was like him, it would be worth protecting.

Well, it was supposed to be uplifting :)

The interesting question for me is 'why did the black convict throw the detonator away?' Did he think that the civilians were 'worth' more than the prisoners or was he unwilling to participate in the deaths of so many 'innocents.' Or, had he learned something about himself or humanity that made him come to that decision? How did he get to the place where he knew that throwing the detonator away was the right thing to do? A fascinating question . . .

jason and leigh - all you need is to find a colorist named jennifer!

doh! i bookmarked the page funny and hadn't seen it update since i found the link and read through the comic - you're updating nicely and i withdraw the complaint! i was stuck on the chapter 5 cover!

leigh, your drawing skills are insane - that monster jumped off the page and scared me and that does not happen! i am a comic geek! but...lily's hair is too far back on her hairline, like it's receding. even when we girls pull it back like that our foreheads generally aren't that big. makes her look a bit stupid. damn i hate stupid women in movies and comics - but if she is there's nothing to be done. meantime, let's get her some photoshop-style-rogaine, eh? (see, new complaint already - well, i am a woman and i live in israel and so i=complaints!) i am hoping these two will have some kind of romance, as iri is obviously gay. and some kind of goddess, maybe? anyway, really good fantasy comic - thanks so much for putting it out!
