Now, I'm not going to name any names, but just because you can make a commercial with CG mice wearing jackets and singing the praises of a particular car, doesn't mean you should make a commercial with CG mice wearing jackets and singing.
Also, why were the boy mice wearing jackets and no pants, but the girl mice were topless and wearing skirts?
Remember, with CG comes great responsibility.
Anyway, it's a three day weekend! Which I'm going to spend working on the trade! By myself! In my cold, dingy apartment!
Well, it's not that bad. Leigh and I have been working very hard to finish up our trade paperback. We've relettered all six books, Leigh's touched up a number of panels, I've added a few things, and Leigh's created a bunch of new illustrations just for the trade. We're in the home stretch and we can see first base at the end of the field goal. Or something.
I suck at sports analogies.
Also, happy birthday to my nephew James, who's turning 4 this weekend. His favorite Superhero is Captain America, so I'm gonna see if I can find him something age appropriate.
Everyone have a fun and safe weekend.
Cheers,
-Jason

A Hell of a Week
It's been a long, long week. I've been so busy that I literally sit down in the morning and don't get up except to eat, go to the bathroom, or chase someone down. No screwing around. No inane conversations. Just a constant stream of things to be done.
I even said a bad word today (it rhymed with 'duck'). There was this thing that I proposed doing that, if I say so myself, was brilliant. Just as it was coming together, reality decided to butt-in and make it completely non-viable. It was then that I said the word I mentioned earlier.
I ended up glaring at my computer for a minute while I thought furiously about how to salvage my wonderous plan. I think I said another bad word (it mostly rhymed with 'fit.').
Nothing came of my glaring and I ended up saying a third word (which rhymed with 'tartar sauce.')
However, I eventually did figure out a solution, so my plan was saved. Now I just need to get through tomorrow and I can have a nice relaxing weekend of killing stuff in WoW.
Cheers,
-Jason

The Weekend!
I'm pooped. Last week was about 65 hours and last weekend was Stumptown, plus a full week this week making me very, very tired.
I plan on doing absolutely nothing on Saturday, other than eating, petting the cat and basically just 'being.' I may play a game or two. I might not. I may watch TV all day until my brains leak out all over my giant bean-bag. I might not.
Not an amazing weekend full of excitement and adventure, I know, but something you just gotta send the ninjas home, lock the door, and vegetate.
There will be a new Art the Wanderer up on Monday and a new page on Tuesday, as well as the usual blogs throughout the week.
Cheers,
-Jason
