So, in exactly two-weeks, Leigh and I will be in San Diego for Comic-Con!
Once there, we will find out if Leigh has won the Russ Manning Award (which I'm sure he will) and we will be awash in fans, super-models, and gorgeous actresses who just want to be near us.
Actually, they might wander by the booth, but that's okay too. Not preferable, but still okay :)
We are pretty much ready. Our book orders have come in, we picked up extra deoderant, and I will probably get a haircut before the trip down.
Remember, we're Table L11 and we're hoping to see some of our fans there!
Cheers,
-Jason

Most Things Do Not Explode Without External Help
The title of today's blog has nothing to do with the actual blog, it's more a public service announcement.
Why I felt I needed to make such a public service announcement is a mystery, even to me.
So, another long, yet curiously fast, week is over. I accomplished a lot, but don't really remember much of it. I'm pretty sure I called my boss a 'fiend from hell' at one point, but I'm also pretty sure he took it as a compliment.
On the home front, issue #6 is rapidly coming to a close. I believe we only have five or six more pages to go and the first 6 issue arc will be done. This, of course, means one thing:
Graphic Novel.
Yes, we will be producing a graphic novel of the first six issues. We're not sure exactly when that will be available, but rest assured it will come out.
Also, the San Diego Comic-Con is coming up!
Leigh and I will be there and ideally, Leigh will also be accepting the '09 Russ Manning Award. Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
Have a safe and fun weekend!
Cheers,
-Jason

The Russ Manning Award!
So, if you haven't heard yet, our own Leigh Kellogg has been nominated for the 2009 Russ Manning Award!
This is a very prestigious award and Leigh would be the first to tell you it's an honor just to be nominated. We'll find out who won at the San Diego Comic Con, when the Eisner Awards are given out.
Obviously, I'm rooting for Leigh, but congratulations to all the other nominees as well!
In other news, I created a Tyrannasaurus Rex in my basement from frog DNA and have tamed it. I will be riding it into battle against Gorgoth the Unholy and his zombie armythis weekend. Obviously, the fate of the world rests on my shoulders (again), but there you go.
Well, in truth, I don't have a basement (or a T-Rex or an Unholy Terror to stop, or frankly, any plans this weekend). I do have some frog DNA though. At least, I think that's what it is. It might just be fridge mold.
So, yeah.
Anyway, the latest installment of Art the Wanderer will appear on Monday and there will be a new page on Tuesday.
Everyone have a fun and safe Memorial Day!
Cheers,
-Jason
